Signal Corruption: Enemies get -1 to their Reserve Roll Subterfuge: You can add +1 to your Roll of who starts first or can reroll your Steal the Initiative Roll. The Coils of Hydra RoW gives you different extremly fluffy Bonus to take for your Army: You have 2 Legion specific RoW's and multiple Vanilla RoW's everyone can use. Special Characters (Praetors, Primarchs and Characters with the Master of the Legion Rule) unlock the use of them. Its kind of like the 30k Equivalent for Formations. In Cases you dont know what a Rite of War is. To start of I can highly recommend a List build around the Coils of Hydra Rite of War. You want some Drop Pods from the Sky? Go for it but be aware that Word Bearers make it better. You want a Tank Army? Also good but they wont be as durable as Iron Hand Tanks. You want to bring Artillery? Totally fine, but Iron Warriors will make it better. These Rules are extremly nice as they allow us to play allmost any Tactic we want. You will pick 90% of the Time just the Infiltrate Rule as its both fluffy and strong. Our Legion Specific Rules are the Mutable Tactics allowing us to choose from 5 different Special Rules (Scout, Infiltrate, Tank Hunters, Counter-Attack, Move through Cover and Adamantium Will) that we get Army Wide on all Infantry Modells (and Dedicated Transports). Thats why a good Alpha Legion Army can bring in most Cases 4-6 slighty different List so the Enemy cant preplan for that. We can literraly field everything without any Problems, BUT not as good as the other Legions specialised on it (which kind of makes us the Ultramarines of the HH.
